Useful before you export
Does Twitch already resize emotes?
Yes. Twitch supports an auto-resize workflow. This tool is for checking the manually sized 28, 56 and 112px PNGs before uploading.
What is the file-size target?
We check each PNG against a conservative 100,000-byte target for manual static uploads. The Subscriber Emote Guide specifies three sizes under 100KB. The general formatting guide describes a different upload mode and limit. Check the current uploader; dimensions and size do not guarantee approval.
Can I resize animated emotes?
No. This tool exports static PNG files. GIF, APNG and animated WebP are rejected so an animation is never silently flattened.
Which files are supported?
Static PNG, JPEG and WebP, up to 20 MB and 20 megapixels, with no side above 16,384px. GIF, animated PNG and animated WebP are rejected. A damaged or unsupported file shows an error. Output is a new raster image and does not copy EXIF metadata.
